New CEO joins Pacific Engineering Incorporated 10 July 2023

Pacific Engineering Inc is proud to announce Mr. Jimmy D. Smith, a recently retired Senior Executive Service member from the Department of the Navy, has joined the team as the Chief Executive Officer. Smith joins the C-suite executive leadership team of Rear Admiral Osie V. Combs Jr., USN (Ret.), President, and Mr. Don L. Myers, Chief Financial Officer.

PEI COVID Testing PODS deployed to North Omaha, NE 

On October 30, 2020 The State of Nebraska Department of Human Services deployed PEI drive thru COVID-19 Testing PODS to Metro Community College. North Omaha is an undeserved community that Nebraska state leaders identified as a high priority to bring testing services to the people.

PEI Receives Award from NAVSEA Commander

April 2014 - PEI key engineers and managers receive Naval Sea Systems Command "Team excellence Award" from NAVSEA Commander, Admiral Hilardes as part of the SSTD Team that built, tested and installed a rapid prototype torpedo defense capability on a aircraft carrier that met CNO accelerated requirements. 

PEI designed and fabricated the Ready Stow Group Cradle Launcher and the All up Round Composite Canister, both key components of the SSTD System.

Pacific Engineering, In wins DOD Acquisition award

WASHINGTON - Two programs within the Program Executive Office for Submarines received Coalition for Government Procurement Excellence in Partnership Awards on Oct. 30, Naval Sea Systems announced in a Nov. 7 release.

The Ohio Replacement Program’s Research and Development Design Contract Team won the Department of Defense Government Savings award while the Undersea Defensive Warfare System’s Program Office’s Surface Ship Torpedo Defense Team received the Department of Defense Myth-Busters Award.

Pacific Engineering Inc. show cased their newest product and expanded facility in Roca, NE, to Governor Pete Rickets who was joined by Anthony Goins, Nebraska Director of Business Development and other key state and government officials to celebrate the expansion.

PEI at the Navy Opportunity Forum

June 2013 - Pacific Engineering participated in the 13th Annual Navy Opportunity Forum held on June 3-5, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency in Crystal City, VA. The Forum was organized and hosted by the Dawnbreaker business consulting firm of Rochester, NY and sponsored by the U.S. Navy’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program.

PEI to Design Light Weight MTVR Composite Trailer

July 2012 - PEI was awarded a Phase II SBIR from the Marine Corp Systems Command to design, fabricate and test a prototype Light Weight MTVR Composite Trailer for use by MAGTF Expeditionary Forces.

June 2013 - Pacific Engineering Inc Ready Stow Group Launcher and Composite All Up Round Successfully Completes Initial At-Sea Launch System Testing on USS George H.W. Bush (CVN-77)

Pacific Engineering, Incorporated’s, (PEI) Ready Stow Group (RSG) EDM Launcher and All Up Round (AURE) Composite Canister, major components of the Torpedo Warning System (TWS) and Countermeasure Anti-Torpedo Torpedo System (CAT), have successfully completed launch testing on the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77).

PEI awarded PEO-SUBS Enhanced SBIR Phase II Contract

September 2012 - PEI has successfully fabricated and delivered under a PEO-SUBS Enhanced SBIR Phase II contract, Ready Stow Group Launchers and our high strength, filament wound All Up Round Composite launch tube prototypes, designed for PMS-415, Surface Ship Torpedo Defense Systems. All the prototype hardware components successfully passed Acceptance Testing conducted by NUWC Newport at PEI facility before delivery.
